Celebration of the Stars

Picture this, if you can: One day, and one special event so big that it can reach almost 6,000 team members at communities across the nation! That’s just what we did on Friday, June 4 as part of our first-ever Celebration of the Stars.

Summer 2021 “Sale-a-bration” Event

There was plenty of reason to celebrate after one of our Florida regional sales teams racked up 116 move-ins in just one month! It was a record-breaking month (and quarter) for that region’s sales team, which we treated to a hard-earned, two-night celebration.

The festivities began with a dinner and commemoration ceremony, and culminated on night two with “A Dance for the Ages,” a special, private event held at the Hilton Naples featuring food, music and dancing and the joy and satisfaction of coming together as a team to celebrate this amazing achievement.

Parking Lot Party

It took some ingenuity and innovation, but COVID and all, we found a way to safely gather and have some Friday afternoon fun together!

This 2020 Parking Lot Party was just one way the company gave back to Team Members, who enjoyed food and drinks (including free beer!), carnival-style games, and a chance to relax and cut loose during what was a year like no other!

Corporate Home Office Ribbon Cutting

Sarasota Bay Groundbreaking

held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, officially commencing construction of a state-of-the-art Active Independent Living community at Discovery Village At Sarasota Bay.

Company executives, developers, and invited guests including approximately 40 members of the Bradenton and Sarasota business communities were in attendance. The new, resort-style community will further complement Discovery Village’s award-winning Assisted Living and SHINE® Memory Care offerings, resulting in a total of 324 apartment homes, which create a full range of available lifestyle options on one campus to better meet the changing needs of seniors through all stages of retirement.

The Active Independent Living community, expected to open in Fall 2021, is being built at 1414 69th Ave. W in Bradenton.

Office Olympics

Incredible feats of strength and agility, unbelievable acts of athleticism, and plenty of hidden talents are on display annually during our Office Olympics event.

Here, Team Members cross department lines to join forces with friends and colleagues from all over the Discovery organization, competing in fun events like balloon volleyball, beer pong, flatbed cart racing and so much more!

Team Members gather to bask in the glitz, glamour and good cheer of the holiday season each year at our company-sponsored holiday party.

Holiday Home Office Decorating Contest

Our seasonal and holiday design contests help transform our home office, all while giving Team Members a forum to show off their creativity, imagination, or lifetime membership in the “Coffee Is Life” club, like veteran Team Member Theresa did here.
